CRAYONSMITH
We're delighted to say that Crayonsmith's long-awaited 3rd LP will be released in late 2012 by the label on vinyl and digital. The band will be recording the album this summer. To celebrate the fact, and to help get the necessary funds together for studio time, the trio will play a Dublin headline show at Whelan's Upstairs on Friday, July 20th. The night will have a real party atmosphere, with special guests Ginnels (Popical Island) and label-mate Owensie playing on the night, along with DJ sets from Magic Pockets & Squarehead afterwards as Crayonsmith takeover the Wexford Street venue from 8.30pm 'til 2am. There'll be opportunities to win copies #1 and #2 of the LP on the night along with plenty of other shenanigans. Check out the Facebook Event page.

HIDDEN HIGHWAYS
Hidden Highways have a number of shows coming up in the summer, including an appearance on the Wanderlust Stage at this year's Body & Soul Festival and a show at Mitchelstown Caves.  Full listings below to the side.

OWENSIE
Along with guesting at the Crayonsmith LP fundraiser, Owensie also has dates coming up the August Bank Holiday weekend at the Castlepalooza and Indiependence Festivals. Expects tunes from the second Owensie LP to feature at these dates. Recording of the album will be finished late this summer.

About Us

Out On A Limb Records is an independent record label based in Limerick City, Ireland. The label was set up in the summer of 2003 with the release of "Is it OK to be loud, Jesus?", the debut album from local band giveamanakick. Since then, we've put out records for a number of bands, including Crayonsmith, giveamanakick, Hooray For Humans, Owensie, Rest, Ten Past Seven, Waiting Room and windings, along with a number of split 7" singles and digital releases.

The label is very much run on a DIY ethos, and aims to continually release innovative, quality recordings that are kept to a low cost for the listener. All OOAL releases can be found in all good record shops in Ireland. While currently we don't have overseas distribution, all releases are available worldwide via our website. All releases since 2007 have also been available digitally.
