Welcome to the new OOAL website. It's been on the long finger for a bit but now that it's here we have big plans and we will be adding a shop and other new features over the coming weeks. Sign up to the mailing list to keep up to date!

We've also got a split 7" single planned for the summer, and a few other bits and bobs, but more on that later.

windings 'Brain Fluid' Out April 16th

We're delighted to announce that our next release (OOAL0012) is 'Brain Fluid', the new single from windings, which will be out digitally on April 16th. There will also be limited edition cassette EPs of 'Brain Fluid', available exclusively at the launch tour (see events section). It's the first single to be lifted from the new windings record, due out Autumn 2010.

A whole batch of shows have been lined up for late April, and windings will also be playing with the mighty Ted Leo in May too. Hurrah!

Crayonsmith Live Shows

As well as a slew of upcoming windings shows across the country this month, Crayonsmith will be playing with the deadly Think About Life in May.

Rest & Hooray For Humans - Writing & Recording

Rest and Hooray For Humans are currently working on writing and recording respectively new material. As soon as release dates get pencilled in, we'll update you!

About Us

Out On A Limb Records is an independent record label based in Limerick City, Ireland. The label was set up in the summer of 2003 with the release of "Is it OK to be loud, Jesus?", the debut album from local band giveamanakick. Since then, we've put out records for a number of bands, including Crayonsmith, giveamanakick, Hooray For Humans, Owensie, Rest, Ten Past Seven, Waiting Room and windings, along with a number of split 7" singles and digital releases.

The label is very much run on a DIY ethos, and aims to continually release innovative, quality recordings that are kept to a low cost for the listener. All OOAL releases can be found in all good record shops in Ireland. While currently we don't have overseas distribution, all releases are available worldwide via our website. All releases since 2007 have also been available digitally.
