At Out On A Limb Records, we know that folks can get the January blues. To help cheer people up, we will be putting the majority of our back catalogue up as free downloads over the coming weeks.
Every weekday, starting tomorrow (Wednesday January 11th), a new digital download will be put for free download for one day only. Each download will also coincide with an opportunity to buy the physical release (albums for €4) from our online store at January sale prices for that day also! Each morning, via our facebook and twitter feeds, you will see what the daily download is.
We’re going to start at the start though, and tomorrow will see giveamanakick’s Is It Ok To Be Loud, Jesus? [OOAL0001] released digitally for the first time ever. Keep an eye onwww.facebook.com/outonalimbrecords and www.twitter.com/OOAL for download details.
Out On A Limb Records is an independent record label based in Limerick City, Ireland. The label was set up in the summer of 2003 with the release of "Is it OK to be loud, Jesus?", the debut album from local band giveamanakick. Since then, we've put out records for a number of bands, including Crayonsmith, giveamanakick, Hooray For Humans, Owensie, Rest, Ten Past Seven, Waiting Room and windings, along with a number of split 7" singles and digital releases.
The label is very much run on a DIY ethos, and aims to continually release innovative, quality recordings that are kept to a low cost for the listener. All OOAL releases can be found in all good record shops in Ireland. While currently we don't have overseas distribution, all releases are available worldwide via our website. All releases since 2007 have also been available digitally.
